Ameraucana mystery (sex)

I still think pullet! So glad you kept her! Splash Ameraucana cockerels typically get darker blue wing bars like Blue Ameraucanas. You can see the wing bars on the male in the picture @AlleysChicks shared really well!

The comb was not large but was bright pink at 8 weeks.

Pink/red color in comb at that age, plus the triple rows of peas, always says male to me in EE's..would think it applies to Am's too.

Kramer is a great bird. He has the 3 rows but you have to look close. I’ll have to look but I think his mom has 3 also.

I think I did. The comb didn't look as pink in the pics as it was. It is bright red now.

As @aart said, only time will tell, but I'm sticking with cockerel. Not all splash Ameraucanas have the dark blue wing bars. I've seen multiple splash roosters without them. Beautiful bird regardless of gender.

I believe you have a beautiful little pullet there, who's getting ready to think about eggs. I have hens that had three rows of peas on their combs as pullets... I don't take that into account anymore.

I vote pullet.
I have no experience with this breed but by 17 weeks (4 months) there should be more rooster sign like saddle feathers and some crowing. Heck usually I hear crowing by 4 weeks.
But hey...we'll see.

Here's a 5 month old hen of mine. She could have been a little hard to sex if I didn't have a rooster of the exact same cross...

And here's the rooster...

These are 3 weeks older than yours.

Edit: sorry meant to add, she has 2 sisters of the same cross and her comb and wattle are twice as big as theirs.

Pretty chickens, what breed? I think we continue to have a mystery on our hands here....
