Ameraucana or EE from breeder?

These little guys are just over a week old and from a local breeder. She says none of her stock is hatchery stock and they're all purebred Ameraucanas, but she does mix the various colours sometimes for variety. I know hatcheries call EEs Ameraucanas and sometimes breeders do too, so wondering if these are EEs or Ameraucanas? I don't really care, I just don't want to call them Ameraucanas here if they wouldn't be considered that.

They all have puffy cheeks, dark legs, and they're bigger than any of the others I got at the same time, even the few who are a few days older. Is it too early to know for sure?

You can call them nonstandard ameraucana's if they are not an "approved" pure ameraucana color. They are still pure ameraucana's, just not the correct coloring. Assuming you are certain all of the breeders stock are pure Ameraucana's.

So I can't be sure. But she told me she has imported stock from other places in Canada and the US, but never from hatcheries, so I assume they are purebred.

I knew it was too early to tell gender. I edited my original post to clarify what I was asking a little better.

The two "chipmunks" are either EEs, or mixed color AMs - not standards. If they have green legs, they are EEs.

The lighter chick could be a lavender, but I have no clue what lavender chicks look like. Same thing - if its legs are green, it's an EE.

Okay, thanks! The legs aren't green, more a dark grey? She only sells chicks and eggs locally, and she said she likes to have lots of colour in her flock and that a lot of people around here seem to agree. As I said, it doesn't really matter to me either way. The whole Ameraucana/EE thing is just a little bit confusing to me at times.

I love lavender chickens. I have two lavender Orpingtons. I would love to have a lavender Ameraucana too.

I guess we'll see as they feather out.

These 2 chicks are from a pure blue ameraucana rooster over a pure wheaten ameraucana hen. They are still pure ameraucana's, just not the proper coloring.
