When I bought them I was told hey are Ameaucanas. But I know that they could be EEs. What are the visible differences between EEs and Ameraucanas?
Thanks,
Zoë

ameraucanas come in 8 showable colors and breed true to color, have slate legs, pink feet bottoms, muffs and beard and lays blue eggs. Ees come in any color, shape, lay blue or green eggs, can be bearded or muffed or not.
If yours came from a feed store or hatchery than 90% chance they are ee's, or if you bought them from someone who listed them as ee/ameraucanas/araucanas they are ees as these are 3 different breeds. If you can ask the place or person that you brought them from what color they have, if they are true ameraucanas, they should be able to give you a certain color (not "oh they are mixed colors")

Ameracaunas have pea combs, black or slate legs, and come in a set list of colors. Blue, blue wheaten, black, silver, brown red, wheaten and white. They have the blue egg layer gene.

Easter Eggers are an Ameracauna mixed with another breed. They can come in just about any color and its common for them not to have muffs or beards. They usually have pea combs and green legs, but some (depending on what it is mixed with) may have single combs and different color legs. They usually lay green eggs, some have an olive tint and some may lay blue eggs.
Both of yours appear to be Easter Eggers.

That's what I've been wondering! I'm so proud of my twin bearded ladies. I guess I'll know a little more when she finally lays.
Yours are beautiful. I love the bottom picture.

Don't forget splash color in Ameraucana's.;)

I've spent hundreds of dollars hatching pure bred Ameraucana's from several breeders. This breed is not easy to find and is very expensive.

OP, you have EE's. The white one could possibly be an Ameraucana, but I doubt it.

I know. I've read that lavenders are not actually pure amercaunas. I do know you can show splash though, but I doubt I'll ever show mine anymore. I love their egg color and I sell eggs for eating. :). Plus I love the breed itself. My Ameraucana's are extremely friendly.
