Ameraucana Projects Thread

I have a Dun project going with the ameraucana.
They're actually phoenix / ameraucana / grey junglefowl blends.

This is the best rooster. At least he is the only one with beard and muffs,
and dun color and pea comb

Sorry it's so blurry but here are a few of the hens I have with him.
Most of them are from the same bloodline.

This is an extra rooster that is not carrying dun, or muffs, but I really like him.
I love his color...

Way back when we still had black ameraucanas, we had a black hen get in with our silver laced wyandottes. We hatched some eggs just for EE's but most came out with great lacing. I would love to work on laced ameraucanas again some day

Since there is a interest in laced I will try to get some pics soon.Have a few F1 crosses.Denise at paradise found farm is interested and encouraged me to start this project.Hope to get some to her in the spring.I used golden laced wyandotte cock over some buff project hens. Some are golden laced.1 cockerel is silver laced/golden laced split.Looks silver laced.

Here are some photos of the F1 generation of the laced project.A late hatch so they still have some growing to do.Thinking of using these with blacks to get some size into this project. The wyandotte was a bit small as were the buff hens used.
