Ameraucana Pullet or Cockerel? NOW with a feather comparison pic!

Ok..... I looked even better today...it's SO hard to tell... so I plucked a feather from the back of each bird in question and some for comparison

Here's what I got....

From left to right.....

Black pullet, black one in question, Blue in question, Splash cockerel and blue pullet

I think maybe the blue and the black ARE cockerels? Slow maturing.

You are too funny with the feathers!! Now I have the urge to pluck some feathers, LOL.
On second look of your pics, I still think the questionable one- black?- is a pullet. AND the blue one. At 4 months, it should be easy to see male.
I have a Polish that I was in doubt about for a long time. I still have a little doubt left, LOL. But I know she's a hen.
Now you have to keep helping me with my 7 week old EE's, LOL

It seemed like the surest way to tell... once I put them down I forget just how pointy or round they were

Yea, but saddle feathers are not only pointy, they are very skinny.,,

Are those all from the saddle area? If so, I would conclude that those ambiguous birds are male.

I have a Blue Ameraucana Blue Splash Cockerel 14 weeks. I bought a variety of sexed females from mypetchicken and 4 turned out roos. Very disappointing and this one was a roo. This is a roo right? Just starting to crow but its a very little crow and not very often crow.
