I finally got a pic of my young roo out of Tailfeathers' eggs. He's going to go with my wheaten girls. Not crowing yet, but his sister (BW) is not laying yet either. She's going to go with my wheaten roo. Is there any way to keep them clean? The girl, especially, is always dirty!

My first Ameraucana chick hatched this morning...looks to be Splash or light blue, Yay

Three more eggs have pipped....these are from the group I posted pics of a few days ago.

These were my first test eggs from this group to test fertility...guess its good

Sheesh I posted this question in the wrong thread, so here it is again. Can someone please help me?

I got my first Ameracauna egg yesterday. Thank Heavens! Question is, I have never heard the Roo crow or try to breed. Do the Roos take longer to mature or am I just not catching him. If the hen is laying and mature, wouldn't he be too? I see him running the little Del Roos off, but I don't see him dance around any ladies.
