Thank you so much.

Those nice birds were not bred by me, but by my dear friend, Luanne (cpartist). Lemme tell you, she is a dedicated and determined breeder of these birds. She is doing a fabulous job, I believe. (And besides that, she is a great gal, too!)

Didn't think a propagator like you would mind if I run down the color of your birds and we haven't had a good fight for a year or so.....

It might have been two or three minutes. I think you are the reason I joined.

You will be in my Kingdom at Crossroads....that is where the other crazy old poultry guys will be. And being good friends with the people putting the show on won't hurt either. Keep your nose clean back there Missy.

I attended the other one and it was awesome.......this one should be larger and better. It's one of those events where you can't really see everything you want to and can't talk to all the people you want to talk to. I need to talk to you though, so put me on your dance card.

It would seem that a lot of Wheaten color problems may be because....... not many are paying attention to the undercolor. I see this in the Wheaten Marans too.

Walt

We should be breeding for a slate/gray undercolor, correct?

I read that by doing this your birds will show and retain better tail and wing color.
