How is the egg color at this point?

Mine are not laying yet. Most of the eggs they came from were good size and color.

I sure would like some hatching eggs from them when they do start laying and I'm sure many others will as well!! Good job!

I know that getting Lavs accepted is the current focus, but these would be a nice next variety. Once again, shank and eye color (and type) are issues to be overcome. I believe that Jean's Chocolates will also be popular.

I think it is important to remember that without a sufficient number of breeders commited for the required number of years and to exhibiting this or any variety, it is only a bunch of pretty project birds.

I am working on the lavenders and buffs and it is hard to be patient when they need so much work!
