Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

OK, I posting a couple of picture to get advice

First one is of a lavender hen - she has a really fluffy muff- is there such a thing as too much muff?

Second - a BW/w hen - I watched her for a good while to see if she always holds her tail this way - is the angle of her tail off or is this what I should be looking for in breeders?

this is a young BW roo, pictures from the front and back - are his legs to stubby? he's not quite 4 mo old, will they grow more? Also, his muff is not very full, will this come in more as he gets older? Is the white fluff at the base of his tail a no-no?

Barngoddess- that first black almost looks like a chocolate! They're a bunch of cuties!

Diane- they all look great for that age. The roo's cotton ball may go not be so noticeable later on, but I don't usually consider that reason to cull. He looks like his beard has been picked a little bit, and I think the flash makes his legs look a goofy color. Nice hackles.
The BW girl looks awesome- she might be a big help if you have a roo with a too-high tail set.

So nice to see clean birds! Mine are such a mess right now- randsacking what's left of the garden after 8 inches of rain. Oy!

BG-

Are those Cuckoos Marans in the front? They have very pronounced combs. Its hard to tell, with certainty, unless you have more to compare too. But I hope you need CM boys?

(It's photo-lighting thing. Chick number 1 IS Black. No question. Jean's babies are well defined.)

Yes, 2 Cuckoo Marans boys in front - with SPECTACULAR leg feathering. As much as I wanted a girl, can't complain a bit about those leg feathers.
