I've been wondering about this for a while and haven't really been able to find any info about it, maybe some of you Ameraucana experts can enlighten me. why are Splash Wheaten Am not recognized?

I'd encourage you to keep working on the BW's. They still need lots of work and there are few dedicated breeders to the variety.

Personally, I don't know why more of an effort can't be done - especially when it comes to the SW. I don't have BBS so can't speak to them but wrt the SW, there is very little variation between the males or between the females. Certainly no more than in a W or BW.

Those of you looking for a project please don't jump into a project if you don't understand the genetics. There is no glory or true monetary gain in flooding the market with false claims and easter eggers.

I do love the way that lavender dilutes red to that buttery color.

My cull lavender roos that had leakage were so darn pretty!
