That picture does make him look black, but he was blue. I should take pics earlier in the day.

Hmmm...the right. I see your point.

Blue can be different shades. Samouw I think your chick could be a dark blue in that pic. The picture of the two roos is a good example, but that blue is light blue.

You are close to the CSRA. If you are on Facebook, you can ask to join the Hobby Farmers of the CSRA group.
There are a couple breeders in that group, even well known ones, who have W/BWA, you might be able to find some replacements locally.

My chicks are now 5 weeks old. I think #1 is a roo, but what color is he?

Now with some blues you really can not tell they are blue until you can see lacing. I have a dark blue Araucana who is very hard to tell he is blue. Samouw, I still think that chick looked like it could of been BW. I would not be sure until the boy had more feathers. Sorry you lost him. See how dark blue can be. I know he is not an Ameraucana or a BW. I am just trying to show dark blue. You can barely see the lacing on him. Notice the lacing on the blue hen behind him. I know he is blue since he has produced splashes.

Its this kind of thoughtfulness that I love seeing here. The technical support is necessary but having a community to relate to is also important and keeps a lot of us from tossing in the feathered towel. Bravo!
