This is the comparison of my 2 supposed to be pure black AM hens.......

While I'm no expert the one on the left is WAY too green to be considered pure....she will be in the EE pen when I figure out which one it is.....ugh.

WOW the SIZE of those eggs tells me they are not AMS..... That would KILL my poor girls to pop out eggs that size.

Medium eggs are the best I get from Ameraucanas. I don't even get many eggs like that from my EE pen.

Wow, I didn't think they were that big....

Maybe I have tiny hands....

Here is an example. The white egg is a LARGE store bought eggs the other 2 are pullet eggs the dark one is about the size of my Ams eggs. My hand is not small I would think normal size for a woman. Your eggs look much wider too more like an XL or Jumbo egg.

I didn't think they were that big but this is a store bought Grade A Large egg and one of my AM eggs.

I don't have a scale so I haven't weighed them. Why do you say they aren't pure just because they are large.....I'm not arguing just trying to learn.

LOL I wear medium sized gloves so no, I don't have hands the size of a 4 yr old.

I was going to check with my egg chart I go to to get how many eggs and size info, but they are talking about EE

Well darn! LOL Right how they are in with a splash copper marans rooster so I can hatch Blue Olive Eggers.....so for right now they are safe from being sold. LOL Now that they have started back they are both laying daily.
