Wheaten has black in their tails and wing bows, blue wheaten have blue in their tails and wing bows and splash has white in their tails and wing bows.
My girl may be a splash. I have been wondering when she would get the darker feathers in her tail or wings. She is only 13 wks old.

Hatching my first Blue Ameraucanas now! So far 3 are out and resting. A 4th is zipping as we speak. I had to help "2 of 7" (Borg reference, lol) because she was breech. She's very tired, but peeping a lot and standing now and then <3 Pretty sure two of the eggs are no-go, but we'll see.

This is day 20! I didn't think they'd come early! I haven't left my chair for more than a few minutes. I'm living on coffee and Junior Mints, and still in my jammies, lol. BEST. SHOW. EVER!

Pictures aren't the best, but I did not have anyone to help. This is my wheaten, or possibly wheaten splash. Would like to hear comments. They are 13 weeks old.

This is my lavender girl. I have finally decided that she is a girl even though she has been slower to develop her tail. She has an issue with her wing, I think others have referred to it as a split wing. I have a lavender cockerel and he is much bigger, even when they were chicks and his feet are larger too. Comments please.

As my grandson said once when he saw a hatching, "this is a wonderful thing". I know it is exciting to see these little blue babies. Hopefully, you will get them all.

This is my Lavender, shes still growing. Her names Lagertha. Hasn't laid an egg yet, but she has decided shes #1 on the pecking order. Shes so sweet tho, and she's kind of a mother hen to all the other girls.I can't believe how much bigger Ameracauna's are compared to other breeds.
