Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Hello. All mine are 4 weeks old from a hatchery 4 are definitely EEs but I was wondering about my wife's "Sunshine"

Looks like she has muffs, which is likely that she has Ameraucana genes. I have never seen one all white though, it might develop color later on. You will have to see what kind of egg she lays.

She is pretty! What color are her legs?

Will do! I want to know it off the top of my head as well, I remember things better when someone tries to explain the concept to me, I was never the best in school when it came to teaching myself or reading comprehensive. What all varieties are you currently working on? I remember reading about your cuckoo project in prior post

I have been putting most of my effort into the cuckoo projects . As a side project I have a auto sexing project but plan to keep it EE . I have some lavender , black , silver .

Wendy and New egg both. I have a white I'm thinking it is a rooster that looks like an Ameraucana and I'm wanting to know if it is an easter egger because it has green legs. It's parents came from McMurray hatchery and my son in law ordered As. It is the only one I have like him. He is young, doesn't crow yet but has been having his way with the hens so I assume it is a he and just not crowing. He,she, will be 19 weeks old on Wednesday. Anyway is it an Easter egger? He is the white chick on my profile page if you want to look at him. I see you keep asking NE what color legs her chick has and wondered about it.

Well, not that my son in law is that much into chickens, his thing is cows. He bought the chicks for his kids and ordered ameraucanas and other kinds and that is what he thought they were. Anyway, it makes no difference. It's nice to know what the bird is finally. I thought it was probably an easter egger from what I have read and now you confirmed it. Sounds like you know your chickens. I was hoping for some different colored eggs but it looks like I'm not going to get them from he or she. Only time will tell. Thanks for the info.
