I hatched my first set of Ameraucana chicks yesterday and today! I hatched them from my Wheaten/Blue Wheaten flock that I have raised since they were chicks. It has been a long awaited process. LolI was so pleased with the results! I had a 82% hatch rate, and I am leaving the other three eggs in the incubator for a day or two to see if they hatch. Here are some pics! I was so excited!![]()

So keep in mind that I am new at this, but that means there is no way she is an Ameraucana (someone correct me if I am wrong). She is an olive egger. It's very pretty though =)
I have chick envy! Hope the other three came through for you. They are cute, cute!
Thanks! We are at day 23 and no pips yet.I did the float test and they all seem very viable, one in particular. I put them all back in the incubator and am crossing my fingers!
I've got my first ever hatching eggs in an incubator on day 11, so I'm no expert by any means. But I thought the float test was only used for early deaths?
