I would not use him to improve your lavenders....I don't see anything that he has that would do that...you have a very nice lavender flock, and I don't see what this guy could add....It's not that hard to find a very good black, or better yet blue,....except maybe in Vt....lol...good luck....
Lol, yeah, I don't know of anyone who has Blacks. Silvers and Wheatens, yes! After I took the pictures I went back and was like, wow, not liking what I see. So, if anyone has a nice black cock or cockerel that they would like to sell or rehome, please let me knowI would not use him to improve your lavenders....I don't see anything that he has that would do that...you have a very nice lavender flock, and I don't see what this guy could add....It's not that hard to find a very good black, or better yet blue,....except maybe in Vt....lol...good luck....
Actually, I suspected as much when I got the chicks. But it is kind of cheezie that they are calling them Ameraucana. But my peeps are intended as pets first and foremost. Truly just backyard chickens. Her name is Henny Penny. Husband and I are looking forward to seeing the different colored eggs. I am glad you confirmed this for me though, thank you. I'm not an experienced chicken farmer. She is a cute little Easter Egger. In fact my husband said I should have gotten 2.
