Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

oh no! We got him at Wagon Train Feed. Our first 2 are 100% pullets so we figured it was ok to buy from there again. We knew the gamble on the silkie but didn't think it would turn out this one was a he....

Can I get some input on this one? I'm almost positive its a girl but the comb is throwing me off. I'm posting multiple pics of the same bird for all around views

Mine didn't get that pink til right before laying... they were about 7 months old... pick her up and spread apart the feathers at base of tail... at that age, if it's a boy, the hackle feathers would be coming in... if you see new pointy feathers, boy, if not, then girl... :)

Well it was just my guess lol. My girls are going on seven months and haven't the slightest HINT of pink. My roo's face is identical to hers and has been for a couple months. :idunno

And I aside from comb, I couldn't tell mine apart by feathering for what seemed like an eternity. Guess mine are just slow! LOL

Thank you all for the info.
My main problem is I got eggs from 2 different breeders .
So some boys were havin huge combs early and the blue one looked quite small compared.
But I started noticing boy looking feathers.
I have some girls that there is no comb whatsoever. So definite girls.
This black one: her comb is bright, especially compared to my other girls.
But her feathering looks more feminine to me.
I really appreciate all of the input. I'll keep her (positive thoughts here) and update what it is.
I think I'll call her Cait. That should work whether boy or girl ;)
