What a beauty-ful boy he is!

My Silver cockeral just started crowing a couple of weeks ago. I just love hearing it. I haven't had a roo around since I was a kid, and it makes me smile every time he does it. My Wheaten boy is still holding out...

I just finished a great hatch of a Garner's roo over Tailfeather's girl & various heavy EEs & Orps. The only pure ameraucana egg I set hatched, but the chick is constantly upside-down

Time to find the band-aids I think.

Ha ha that's funny - I bet my neighbors wish I didn't have any roos around!! I got a quad of bantam blacks in the mail from John yesterday to go with the ones I already have, and the rooster is trying to assert his dominance by crowing his head off for several minutes every time one of my other roos sounds off! I caught the neighbors kids yelling at him to shut up this morning (my quarantine area is on the side of the house closest to their fence). I scared the tar out of them though because they didn't see me open the window, so when I yelled back at them, they jumped GOOD! LOL Little brats...

...I don't know what their problem is, after all, I only have 6 actively crowing roosters...LOL...just wait till all 10 of them are doing it!!

Almost forgot! I'm really happy with how the whites are turning out- even though the roo seems to have a giant head. The splits aren't as "beardy"- but it's there. They are incredibly flighty, unlike the lay that could be a lap chicken.

Hey, y'all!

I have a 13 week old black ameraucana cockerel that needs a new home. He is from my mix of a Gardner roo and Pips&peeps hen. He has such a great bloodline that I hate for him to get eaten. I don't have a picture of him, but this is his daddy

Make me an offer on him. I am in Middle TN. I don't want to ship him, but can meet up with you in Franklin or Murfreesboro.
PM me if you would like him. He's going to be a good looking boy when he is full grown. I'll try to get a picture of him later.

Happymtn- I hope Udee makes it! My most recent hatch had one kid that was on her back, too, and I was really worried. She was #1 and the hatch lasted 3 days. By the time I opened up the bator to take everyone out, she was 'normal'. Not sure how old your girl is, but maybe she'll right herself, too

Citygirl, that is one handsome rooster!

I had a d'uccle do that once, and as it turned out it was because his tummy was too fat...after a day or two and he finished absorbing everything he had in him from the yolk, he was just fine!!
