That was wbw pen #2. You can pm me, if you prefer. But, I don't mind posting it public either.![]()
This is the hens beard close up. She has a dirty face with feathers stuck together. I think it looks pretty full though. You can also tell the roosters are pulling a few head feathers. There are also a couple pictures of other girls. The first picture is her. They both came out of pen #2. The Wheaten rooster came out of pen #1

Oh yeah...forget everything I said about beards and muffs! lol She has great color definition in her tail, so does the wheaten.
I would love to hatch me a batch this year but not sure when or how that will happen. I wanted to get on your list for blacks and splash but with my surgery. I figure I better wait till next year. Thank you again Susan I love them!
Let me know when your surgery is and how you're doing..in pm, of course. If you're up to getting chicks later in the spring, we'll see if we can't work something out.
Of course!! Just hoping these are fertile... Balthazar took a severe disliking to JB (surprise, surpise) even though he's 2 pens away... injured his beak on the fence so he hasn't been up on his game... he's doing better now though, and he is so sweet!!Woohooo!! I want pictures!![]()

Do any of your Ameraucana pullets have a thicker pea comb, or are the pullets' combs always almost non existent? This is my 14 week old Splash and I'm trying to figure out if she is a she or he. I have a 30 week old Blue pullet who has a smaller pea comb than this younger one.![]()
Pea combs can vary... need to see a good, standing profile shot to tell for sure...
