They are very pretty though. Easter Eggers are my favorite. That's why I breed them.

That's awesome. mine are so much fun, very friendly. laying eggs soon. I am so nervous, trying to figure out how to prepare. I am probably over thinking it.

Any idea what is going on with the feathers on this chick? It is supposed to be an ameraucana and they appear to curl in and be half the size as the feathers of the others( they don't appear frizzled).

Odd... maybe nutritional deficiency (of the parents) or genetic? Is it thriving? Did it get too close to the heat source before they came in?

I contacted the breeder and they said he should grow out of it- he is the biggest and healthiest appearing with little dinky wing feathers- looks silly.
