Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

QuailHollow, do ever get any Blue Barred EEs from those birds? I saw the Barred EE pic, but I couldn't quite make out if they were blue?

IF by chance you do, I would LOVE to get some of those eggs from you! I really want some Blue Barred birds, but I haven't been able to locate any near me.

Lemme know, okay? I'm really not looking for right now, probably a couple months down the road into the springtime.

Thanks!

Jeremy - if I did, I gave them away. The only reason I kept the bird above is because I thought it was a pullet. .. and I thought she would be a pretty addition to my flock. In the end, she is a he.

But if you let him borrow a blue ameraucana hen or two.....about 1/2 the babies would be blue barred, the rest normal black barred.

My big BR rooster is running over those hens now. He's welcome to the eggs, I've been eating them. They'll either hatch out BR/AM crosses, or AM's.

ETA: I only have 2 black hens, the rest are some shade of blue.

............................... but a striking looker !

I thought so to thats why I thought maybe it was Ameracauna. My grandson caught him at the auction. He has been running around for a few months along with other chickens. We lost one there ourselves and he couldn't catch that one but he got the 2 that are in the pic. That little splash one. I don't know what she is either.

I"m sure he will catch the one of ours that got loose sooner or later. lol

Do you think you'll have 6 to 12 available towards the beginning of January?
