Yes! I have news!! My black bantam cock bird took BB, BV, and Ch. Ameraucana, with Res. Ameraucana going to a Jr. exhibitor with another black bantam hen. There were 14 bantams shown, 5 black, 2 lavs, 7 wheatens. Royce brought lf weatens and blue weatens...I think I remember counting 8 of them total. Overall, it was a pretty decent turnout for the Ameraucanas, considering the size of the show.

I agree you would do better to cull the birds then to introduce the issue to your flock. Did you quarantine this male for 30 days? If so he showed snotty nostrils right? I think it would have been best to cull him before introducing him to your hens. Respiratory issues in birds rarely go away now if your hens come down with it you may have to cull them all and start over. Hope for your sake they all don't come down with it I would still cull the male with the respiratory issues he probably picked something up at the show.

It sounds as if you have had a bad experience with your own flock ? He's in segregation and I'll watch for symptoms in my flock . If it shows up I'll destroy the flock . My vet can test by blood work , I'll not take severe actions on a possible diagnosis done by way of a message board . If you're correct , many birds were exposed at this large show .
