I ordered a new sportsman 1500 and a hatcher this morning. They will be here in 7-10 days!!!!

Only problem is, my chickens didn't pay for them........

I have a question about my pure white hen. Sorry if it is not the correct place to ask.

She looks sort of like a white Ameraucana but she was hatched from some eggs that were meant to be olive eggers (Ameraucana x BCM).
The rest of the birds that hatched looked as expected like dark brown olive eggers. She does lay a green/oliveish egg.
She is snow white. Oddly enough she has a pea comb now???

1. Could she be an olive egger with dominant white to hide the BCM (likely in view of the comb)

2. A poor quality white Ameraucana whose egg accidentally got put in the OE pile

Some of us here at BYC are trying to resurect a previous project to create a chart showing examples of each breed at various stages of growth. Ideally we would have pictures of both male and female at each stage as well as of each color variety. Would any of you be willing to assist us with photos of the birds you breed?

Ok I got 7 eggs out of a pen with six pullets in it today. Eggs gathered at dark the night before. I didn't think two in 24 hours was possible from these girls!

Sick, isn't it Renee? I didn't think I would fill this one at once...especially so soon. It is such an addiction! I also have a few LG's that are on standby for overflow.

Are you showing this year? I hope between Karen, you, Sue and me we can get some interest going. Would be a ton of fun!!!
