Okay, here is a group photo of the 3 that hatched along with an individual picture of just one sibling.

Hi, my husband and I have started a hobby farm this year. We are taking on four chicken breeds, four duck breeds and two geese breeds all part of a preservation plan to improve genetic lines and save breeds. We chose Wheaten Ameraucanas as one of the breeds and here is our first rooster we are using to breed with our other Wheaten hen (who is impossible to photograph but I will wrangle her down soon) along with our easter eggers. I am learning about the standards and the different terms but I thought I would post a picture here and see what everyone thinks. Honest feedback please! Your critique will help me when we have to hatch and cull the offsprings which is coming up soon. He will be about a year old in August. So far, we are getting 100% fertility on all of our eggs with him. I'll get a pic of the hen asap. His beard has been picked at by his ladies, it's normally fuller.

So, here is the info from the auction:

THE HENS ARE LAVENDER AND THE ROOSTER IS HALF LAVENDER AND HALF REGULAR AMERAUCANA,, THE EGGS IVE HATCHED HERE ARE 75 % LAVENDER AND 25% LIGHT BLUE AND WHITE

Somehow that chick isn't looking like a blue and white.

An auction on here, or on another auction site? The terminology used worries me a little that they don't really know what they have.... "regular Ameraucana"???? And then to call the lavender offspring "light blue and white".....

I would guess that their "half lavender" roo is an EE....

This is an ebay seller. So I guess those three will be going into the EE pen. Darn it all. Thank goodness I got some nice Lavs off of here.

I would guess that you'll be seeing some color leakage on those "lavenders" when they are older. There are a few respectable Ameraucana breeders that use ebay, but most of what's on there is sorely misrepresented. I don't know how long you've been following this thread, but there has been A LOT of photo stealing by folks that sell on ebay to misrepresent their birds...
