thanks to all that commented on my pullet. I should maybe take a picture of her outside to get better lighting however she is a very ginger colour. I will look at the bottom of her feet and get back to you on that one. JHer hackle feathers are severely striped, like you would see in a poor colored male. One can only assume that she would pass this fault down to her male and female offspring.
This also could be indicative of hidden genetics that she may be carrying. Typically if a bird is carrying partridge/wild type genes it can express itself this way... which would mean she isn't pure Ameraucana i.e. an Easter Egger.
It's a shame, she's got great tail color.
ETA: What color are the bottom of her feet?
she looks just like my purebred blue Ameraucauna....
