two blues and one if the blacks. I've been looking at eye color pictures and these look closer to me, maybe to light?

Getting started in Wheatens & Blue W.
Questions about my boys.
Will these muffs get bigger? They are very adolescent - just baby crows.

The next one has red lacing. He is so pretty, should he be culled from the breeding program?

These come from really good stock.
Let me know what you think! I'm keeping one and selling the others.
Thanks!

I will try. Perhaps a face shot is needed since I am asking about the muffs? Can anyone tell me if the red lacing is acceptable? I know the gold in his pantaloons (what is the right word here?) is okay but I don't know about the lacing. Thanks for all input!

No, it is not okay to have gold in the thigh fluff.

orange ticking is permissible on the front of the neck and orange red ticking permissible in the body and stern (butt fluff)

Thank you.

If you are breeding lavenders, do you want black based on gold or silver? What about blacks?

I need to get a basic color genetic book for chickens. Can anyone recommend one for me?

Thanks.
I have a set of genetics of color books on PDF if you would like to give it a go. I can also tell you that thefancychick.com has a fun chicken color calulator on her page. You put in the two colors and get an approximate percentage of offspring color.
