I was hoping to breed him with my black Ameraucana hen this spring and hatch the eggs. Is that a good idea if he has gold leakage? ( I'm not really wanting to show them i would like to have something close to show quality is posable. I also love looking at them and i love the blue eggs!

If it gets really bad I would not use him. I culled my one boy with bad gold leakage (and curled toes too) and the Lavender boy with Silver leakage is not going to be used in breeding. I think leakage is a DQ and hard to get rid of once introduced and those chicks would be going away from show quality if that's what you want. Hopefully its just a few feathers and you can choose a son without the leakage for future generations. I am not sure if the leakage shows up in the girls if they carry it...

Does this pullet have a decent look to her? Her legs are slate. I know it kind of looks yellowish in the pictures. I think that's the phone and the fact she'd been digging in the dirt. I can't get the actual camera close enough for a good picture. Even using the phone she wasn't happy with the black thing taking pictures of her.

I just don't know what it is with her and cameras. She eats out of my hand but if the phone comes out she's off.
