Americauna experts. Help please. The farm I got my chicks from has what he called "sport americaunas" does anyone know about them or how to get some. My Ni e year old was head over heels for the way they looked. Any info would be helpful

A sport chicken is an odd color chicken from two same colored parents. I think he may be trying to sell you Easter eggers OR he may be referring to splash chickens from blue americaunas. What did the breeding chickens look like?

amoxicilin is made from fungi right? cause of cillin at the end. I don't think it would work because it's antibacterial not a fungicide. who has the fungal infection?

I have no idea what he's talking about. If you post pictures of them, maybe we could help you figure it out. A sport is sort of a genetic accident, not a type within the Ameraucana breed. Sounds like he made up that name for some Easter Eggers he has, but can't say unless we see what you're talking about.

You cannot treat anything fungal with antibiotics. They can actually make it worse. May want to take a look at this thread I did awhile back:

I think I do. I was late putting on a mask while messing with a sitting brooder. It was pretty moldy. I was doing it just a few days ago, now im sick.. been sick for a couple days. I saw no one that was sick and I dont go out cause of severe anxiety.

Oh, you do, not your chickens! Hmm, not sure what you'd do. Might need to check with your doctor to see what he/she recommends.

Thats just it I have severe anxiety. Getting me to a dr when im healthy is exceptionally difficult and nearly impossible when im sick. My mom checked online to see if amoxicilin or pinicilin will work and she said the penicillin may work. Im afraid of it not working though.

But one aught to work. They are antibiotics and thats what youll get when u get an infection

those treat bacterial infections. I've been sick myself and i think it's from all the pollen, try taking some antihistamines (allergy meds)
