These are nice lavenders. I have a start flock for breeding and yours are good ones. There is a Lav Am board and they are pretty good at sexing them. Lavs are really hard. How old are they?

They look like EEs. I have two that look like that. It's not an ameraucana color. Doesn't mean she won't be a good egg layer. Mine are my best layers (other than the silkies who outlay everyone if they aren't broody). There is an EE thread here if you want to check it out. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/273489/the-ee-braggers-thread

It is a Quechua color. The Quechua are a land race breed that are one of the ancestors of the Ameraucana. They have more color patterns than the standardized Ameraucana. The white face or owlface pattern like your pullet has is one of them. These patterns have not been excluded from the EE's in an effort to standardize color so they still show up. There are several color patterns in the South American landrace chickens that are very different from the European colors and patterns that form many of the standardized colors. The genetics of these have just begun to be looked at by a few curious breeders. Check out articles about Quechua by Yashar and Resolution and Grannychick55. You will see some pictures that look very much like your pullet.

Great information Penny Hen, thank you! I love her white beard and her rooster cousin/brother had some really beautiful colors. I just looked at the Quenchua thread and they definitely look like it. The breeder I got them from shows birds but these aren't from her show stock. It wouldn't surprise me that she has this breed though since she probably has some good connections through her shows.

Thanks everyone! These are my first ameracaunas, a guy near me was selling and I loved the color and wanted this breed. Just wanted to see what others thought of thier color and type. He said they are both laying. I will check out the lav. Thread! Thank you!

I been watching on this thread for awhile and have some questions for the breeders for your bbs pen do you normally have more then 1 cock per breeding pen and then what do you know about the gold and silver base gene

New to this great breed but most people have one rooster with 2 or 3 hens/pen. Gold based blacks have a beetle green sheen and silver based have a purple sheen. I think both are used in BBS - maybe someone can tell us?
