Hello everyone! This is Gylfie:

She's a little sweetie. She's three years old, and still lays every day!

I was wondering if anyone thought she could be a good show bird. If no, could you tell me why? (bad conformation, any disqualifying features, ect.)

Here are a few more pics, all taken today (Her beard and muffs are wet, though, because it was still dewy. They're normally much fluffier):

Here's one of her as a chick, in case that does anything:

EEs can come in most any color and lay most any color egg. Typically they have green legs, but they can have any color. They also typically have muffs and beards like an Ameraucana, but they can be clean faced as well. There is no standard for an EE because they are a hybrid and will not breed true.

Oh my gosh, really? She was sold as an Ameraucana! (And it didn't even have an "I" in it..)

How can you tell?

This thread may help.

Most Easter Eggers are sold as Ameraucanas/"Americanas." Your EE is lovely though...I love her solid build and those muffs. The colour pattern is standard for an EE.

Thank you for replying. And thanks for the compliment! I love her too, she's such a good girl, I was just hoping to show her.
You're not the first one to be duped. It's a shame that hatcheries and even some breeders do this. There is so much misunderstanding and confusion. Do some research on what color you want and keep your eye open here on BYC for eggs and/or chicks.
There are some definite advantages to EE's though. They have great personalities, great layers, and as hybrids they tend to be very vigorous and healthy!
