I say black on the first two, love the color on the left blue in pic #2, and like you I'm iffy on the splash. I'm thinking splash with a lot of blue, but could be a very light blue. If you put a gun to my head, I would say splash

The easiest way to know if you are getting Ameraucana or Easter Eggers is color. Ameraucana are always sold with a color variety specified. If no color is specified, then it's probably an Easter Egger.I am intrested in purchasing some Ameraucanas. How do I know that they are true Ameraucanas? Breed standard only? I don't want Easter Eggers or any other mutts. Do chickens come registered or have pedigrees like dogs? This is a new area for me, I just want to make sure I get what I pay for. I am in Oklahoma City area of anyone knows of anyone that has some chicks. I don't have a incubator for eggs, maybe some day.
Nice chicks!!! I think the first 2 are both blacks as well, but the last I bet is a light blue... had to dig, but these were blacks and blues I hatched over a year ago... no splash was possible in these...
The lacing on Charlotte was beautifulWow, sure is an old post, right? Of the birds that were referenced of mine, I still have Gypsy, who is 8.5 yrs old and still laying! Her mother, Charlotte, passed away years ago unexpectedly, no idea why. I have Snow, an 8 year old Splash Ameraucana, and that's all of the Ameraucana left. Nora, Snow's sister, passed away before she turned 6 years old.
Susan, are these all from the same blue parents, or different pens?
