It sure looks like it could be splash. As far as the bottom pic, I've never seen a male with a tan chest at that size. It's back looks male, but not it's chest. How old are they? It's an oddity.

Um...Blacks usually have white/yellow down on the throat and belly. It's still feathering in on the chest/neck/belly.I have BBS Ameraucanas and no they never had white on their chest.

Well it doesn't look blue and I don't think it's Ameraucana either. I've never seen a blue or black chick at 4 weeks old with white on its chest. Anyone else ever seen it?
I wouldn't call it white, it's a faint yellow. But I'm new to this breed or whatever it's gonna be

I'm sorry someone was either dishonest with you......or they had no clue. But he looks fairly mature to have known the gender for some time now. This is one of my EE cockerels......I have several and they will be processed soon......they're about 4.5 months now. The hackle and tail feathers are a dead giveaway with mine by 3 months.
