So that makes it a cull trait, and the bird should not be used for improving the breed, right?
Is it dominant or recessive?

Lavender, do you remember us discussing this when you got him? I showed you the white spots on his ears and explained that is why I was culling him? At that time, you just wanted a backyard cockerel for your EEs and he would have been fine for that.
I'm glad to see you getting more involved with Ameraucanas and admire your desire to learn more about the breed and breed to SOP standards, but he would not be a good choice for that pursuit.
If you would like a nice cockerel for breeding to SOP, I have a couple of extra here and I would be happy to give you one, to get you started off on the right foot for breeding to SOP. Give me a couple of weeks to get where I can sort through everything and past this show weekend, and I'll let you know what I have.
Here are the seven that hatched in the incubator. There is a Lavender or two in there but I can't tell them apart.
What are your thoughts?

From what I can see from those angles, these 2 look like your Lavs/Self Blues...
Get clear pics from overhead and side/front shots without shadows on them and I can be more sure...![]()
Thank you. Here are some better pictures.
