Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

She is just BEAUTIFUL!

I counted and KNOW I have at LEAST 5 Wheaten roos.

I hope I can sell them... I don't want to teach my boys how to butcher chickens with Purebred Wheaten roos from great quality lines.

All three varierty of wheatens are so pretty. I bet if you put some boys on Eggbid, they'd go like hot cakes

Such pretty birds.

Just started another group of staggered hatches, hatching. These little guys hatched yesterday! I think I have 3-4 eggs hatching every three days for the next couple of weeks...

I also have 4 split Lavender eggs in the incubator on day 2, I've been seeing my rooster do his job, so here's hoping

And yet more photos of the adults. Henry's blacks are beginning to figure out the free ranging thing and have started been brave and going outside to forage.

Hope all the photos aren't getting old. I'm so stressed out lately and it is so relaxing to sit and watch the chickens, and it is second nature to have my camera with me.

BTW I noticed today I have 4 black hens with my Lavender roo, 5 blues, 1 splash, and 6 black girls for my black rooster. I'm thinking of swapping some girls (and pens) around to get me further along with more split lavenders. I'd give my lavender roo all the black girls and keep the blues and splash with my black rooster. Just thought about it today, need to kick it around a bit. I'm afriad if I start moving everyone around, that they'll go on strike on me!
