I'm on hold with customer service. The picture of the blue ameraucana male and female is of two cockerels.........

One of them has green eyes, not bay.

The egg color doesn't look too great in that photo either.

When they answer, going to find out who they are getting them from.

Thank you, Detective!! Gotta get to the bottom of that one!!

My understanding as well when I asked them last year who their Barnevelder egg source was.

Didn't MPC offer free photos in exchange for using them on their web site at one of the poultry shows not long ago?

If they did, it would be nice to see a disclaimer on their web site that the images shown are not their stock but a representation of what you "might" get. Otherwise it feels like bait and switch to me.

oh how cute. I have NO IDEA why that one is yellow on the bottom, I have never seen that before in all the chicks I hatched. I only ever hatch out blues (like your other 3) and blacks. I am sorry you got all blues but that yellow one is very interesting. Please take pics whenb it feathers out as I am dying to see what it is. All my birds should be pure from multiple generations so I am clueless as to the color difference maybe some one else will know.

Don't be sorry about the only blues because I love blues too. I am ordering more from you soon so hopfully I will get a few blacks to hatch out then. I am very happy with the babys I did get. I will make sure to take pics of the yellow markings chick when it starts feathering out to show you what it ends up with. Hey...you never know, it might be really cool!!!

It's Julie Gabbard.

I laughed and the lady asked, "is that good or bad?" and I said, "I'll just say nothing"......

Thank you for solving the "Mystery"...lol.

The eggs look green- I think you need to put them in a white bowl and take a pic outside. Well- that's what I do for my wellies, I 've heard other tips so you can show the blue-ness but can't remember right now
