Thank you very much. I am enjoying my Ameracaunas more than I ever thought I would. The Roo (I call him Bart after "BlackBeard)
is so very gentle and protective. I never have to worry when I go in the coop. He will call all the girls to him until he is comfortable. I use the coop (it's big) for a grow out pen for all the misc chicks I hatch because he is never mean to them.
When the cat comes snooping around though he is right up against that wire trying to get at it LOL.

He has the most amazing crow and I wish I could explain it. It isn't typical of the other Roo breeds. I know I have heard this type of crow in old westerns and the only way to describe it is almost musical. Do all Ameracaunas have this type of crow?

Momma-hen, No I don't bathe him and he (Bob) is on a dirt floor. But I have Katy the Chicken Lady to thank for that. She has been growing him out for months and done a fantastic job of it. Katy has a few other projects going on right now and not enough room. I was thrilled to have him and his lady.
He is also sweet and gentle. I am very impressed with this breed.

Beautiful birds, Germaine! But, of course, I expected that from you! You have such beautiful stock! You should be very proud of all you have accomplished with your poultry! I'm green with envy (and drooling)!

My Ameraucanas from Paul Smith should be shipping out in a couple days. I am very excited about getting them! Woo Hoo ! !
