My 3 week old Lavender chicks from Pips&Peeps are so sweet (Avatar) and seem especially friendly also! but they are going through the gawky stage right now, so I will post pictures when they have all their feathers! But my 7 wk old Wheaten rooster chick from Pips&Peeps is just goregous!! Here are some pictures of him that I took today.

Thanks for your kind words. I think he is very nice, but I am a novice and still trying to get up to speed. We only had the one wheaten pair this spring, so I hatched a bunch and kept the best (I think) ones to grow out. I have 5 full sisters and 3 full brothers to him (just keeping one for backup), figuring to breed the offspring back to the parent. I need to get some pictures of the girls, need some help with them, too!

He does have some black in the lower area of his hackles. Will this change as he matures? (I can't remember or else wasn't paying attention to his Daddy's hackles at that age). Is his comb correct?
