That's great Jeremy!
I saw a raccoon climbing into a drain on the street in East Oakland on Christmas Eve. Not as big as the only I saw when I lived in Berzerkeley years ago. That one was as big as a GSD, but this one is the biggest I've seen out there in years.
My mom just passed away in April and when I would visit her in Emeryville, the people next door would put cat food out at 2am every night to feed the coons. There was always one momma and several babies. Cute, but mean little suckers. I've never seen on in Modesto. I'm sure we have them, but in 2 years, not one in sight.
My mom had wanted a hen, but with all those little eyes flashing in the night, she didn't get one. They also can tear up a garden. They'd dig up bulbs and her orchids almost every night.
