I GOT MY FIRST EGG OF 2011!!!!!! IM SOO EGGCITED!

It came from my BW/W/SW Bantams......I think if I get around 6 im going to fire up the incubator for a test hatch!!! I'm going to post pictures of the egg and my new large fowl later today. I need to start making desserts for a New Year's Day party I'm going to but I went to check on the chickens first and there it was. It's a little green for my likeing but I'm just excited! I can't wait until more start laying..... My large fowl should lay soon as well!

What a great way to start off 2011!

Wolftracks- I LOVE those lavender chicks!

I can hardly wait for mine. I have an order from John Blehm of lavender, black and silver. Come on March 22! I'm so impatient! Once they get here it will be hard to wait for that first blue egg, too!

More good news.

I recently lost my 2 LF Wheaten pullets I hatched from Jean's eggs to a raccoon, I've been looking for replacements ever since with very little luck, that is until today!

There's a woman here in CA that I contacted through the ABC that is willing to sell me a BW pullet and a Wheaten pullet that are 8 months old and are also from Jean's stock! For only $25 each.

I am going to pick them up tomorrow!

I have so many breeds that if I had some land somewhere I'd maybe order Wheatens, but I like these Lavs and Blues, so happy with these. I also have my black roo from sunnydawn from the order they did last year.

I have one white that I think may be mixed so an EE because she looks like she may have been from an AMxFav breeding, but not sure, but she runs like the roadrunner and I can never get a pick of her.
