A Blue is a single dilute gene on the Black and a Splash is a double dilute gene on the black.
A chick gets a gene from each parent. A blue bird will either pass the black gene or dilute gene on, a black can only pass a black gene, and a splash can only pass a dilute gene since it is a double dilute....does that make any sense?
