Does no one else here think the "Brown-Red" is in fact not a Wheaten but a BBR Easter Egger with slate legs? His comb is rather tall and flops a little, his color is way too dark and he has no white leakage, signifying he's likely a Duckwing not Wheaten. Still, very beautiful!

Hatcheries will tell you that too, but they ALL sell Easter Eggers - just because someone told you doesn't make it true. I'd put my money on Illia

The problem is that hatcheries sell them as Ameraucanas, and then people think that's what they really have, and then they turn around and unknowingly misrepresent their birds to others. She's a very cute girl, but the green legs give her away.

I'd hate to give her away as she's a cute girl. But I really want an Ameraucana.

Keep her! My first I got were Easter Eggers that I thought were Araucanas, but, when I got myself some Ameraucanas then some Araucanas, I didn't get rid of anyone. I kept 'em all

Well okay the EE hen was culled after 2 years, but that's because she had serious health issues.
