Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I know- she's clean faced. Had more due Sunday, but the fire went out overnight and the bator was at 94 when I woke up

You can see her legs are solidly dark- unlike some dark colored varieties of certian breeds that is more of a "wash". There's just a bit of pink around her toes. She's 3 weeks old.

Oh much better than uploading and all that! (Pay no attention to the bottle of chicken leg paint behind her)

Update on my Jean pips and peeps!!!

A couple of days shy of 8 weeks.

This is Jean but I'm really starting to think that Jean may really be Gene! Do you think there's any chance Jean is a girl???

Close up of Jean's comb

Jean is the friendliest bird in the box!! Even friendlier than the Silkie. And they are rivals. Jean and Ella, my Silkie, compete constantly. (Which also might mean they are boys!!!

This is Kelly. Pretty sure Kelly is a girl.

This is Diablo 1 (I have 2 black cockerels. They look identical. Neither will let me get any where near them!)

This is the black pullet

They are beautiful!!!!

I can't wait to hatch out my own pips&peeps eggs!

Sorry to hear about the temp dropping on the bator, Amy. Hope the girls will help you set another batch soon.

BTW, she is cute!

Thanks

Looks like I'll be keeping the pen going for a couple more weeks- the PO decided to "forget:" some eggs for a few days, so I have to send Buffygrl another set too.

HappyMt after inspecting you solo chick, the green glass jar caught my eye and then the guinea feather and then the chicken foot jar. What a great collection of colored glass bottles. Not too many people collect them anymore. Anyway i am jealous of your collection and thanks for the photograph.
