One of my roos (the lowest in the pecking order) came at the back of my legs last night. Grrrr.... I chased him around, threw things at him (missed every darn time) and chased him into the coop. My favorite lav roo saw the attack and my reaction and marched into the coop, chased him into the run and went at him. I thanked Randy (the Lav roo) and he went at him again. No blood on anyone, but the attacker was put in his place. I love my Lav Roo....he's such a sweetie.
I spent 10 bucks (as a chick) on the aggressive roo....he's gonna be an expensive Sunday dinner if he comes at me again, however. (He's getting a second chance since this was the first time he stepped out of line toward ANYTHING, including the hens)
With that said, anyone want to buy one of Jean's Black Roos....Or trade me a bantam roo for him (any breed, the Amerucana roos can't get low enough to breed my D'uccles, but it sure is funny watching them try). I bet he would be much nicer if he wasn't low man on a 3 man totem. I'm in Albany, NY area and would be willing to meet you half way if you were within 200 miles of me.
