Your chicks are in there crazy acting, vulture phase. They will be fine. I don't let my daughter hold them until they settle down. Once they get older they will be friendly and beautiful. The meal worms will make them love you!!!!!!!!!!

My BCM's are very friendly and have been since a very young age.I have five and they were a year old in April. They have never been friendly. I used to set on a bucket in their aviary and feed them bred. Only two of the five would ever take it from my hand, and forget about touching one. I let them free range every third day and they will barely go out the door if I'm standing near. My BCM's will mug me for the bread and have no problem stepping on my feet to get out of the door.
If you can brood your chicks at face level, they won't be as flighty.
Never had problems with my many ameraucanas, but have heard the silvers referred to as leghorns on crack.
Well I brought home some mealies tonight & OMG they went crazy. There was a lot of.flapping & sqwaking but they were.mostly fighting over the worms. They could not eat if I was holding them but they'd snag them right out of my hand
Has anybody ever used superworms? They were huge. I guess I'm gonna have to try & raise some kind of.worms for them we went.thru $5 worth in about 10 minutes and the big birds didn't get.any.
