Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

can someone please better explain to this person why her "ameraucana" is really an ee pullet https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/719078/could-my-girl-be-a-guy  thank you

1) Ameraucana = slate legs. EE = yellow or green legs (ie; that pullet on that thread).
2) Ameraucana = approved colors; Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, Blue, Black, Brown Red, Silver, Buff. EE = Any color not conforming to the APA rules (ie; that pullet on that thread).

There's the two main reasons.

Sorry to butt in but is there also something about the tufts by the ears that makes them different? I have both slate and green legged birds. I almost think the blue one is an Ameraucana. I study him a lot. I think he's gorgeous either way.

Thank you. Sue

Ameraucanas don't have ear tufts. They have muffs and beards.
Thank you. I had read something like that but wasn't sure how it went. I'm so glad I don't compete. I don't think I could handle the pressure! lol

If you had to choose between big ugly comb or droopy wings which would you choose for a breeding rooster? Is one easier to work with?

That's what I had decided. Just wanted to make sure I was making the right choice.
