That is what I get for posting after a fun night out watching the musical 'Menopause' and before I drank a pot of coffee.

can someone please better explain to this person why her "ameraucana" is really an ee pullet https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/719078/could-my-girl-be-a-guy thank you
Sorry to butt in but is there also something about the tufts by the ears that makes them different? I have both slate and green legged birds. I almost think the blue one is an Ameraucana. I study him a lot. I think he's gorgeous either way.1) Ameraucana = slate legs. EE = yellow or green legs (ie; that pullet on that thread).
2) Ameraucana = approved colors; Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, Blue, Black, Brown Red, Silver, Buff. EE = Any color not conforming to the APA rules (ie; that pullet on that thread).
There's the two main reasons.
Ameraucanas don't have ear tufts. They have muffs and beards.Sorry to butt in but is there also something about the tufts by the ears that makes them different?
Thank you. I had read something like that but wasn't sure how it went. I'm so glad I don't compete. I don't think I could handle the pressure! lolAmeraucanas don't have ear tufts. They have muffs and beards.
