We have 4 Ameraucanas in our flock (30 birds).
They laid eggs about every other day or I was at least getting 1 of their eggs per day.
We haven't gotten an egg from them in weeks. Not a single one. They are eating and drinking as normal.
Any clue why? Are they normally inconsistent layers?

I have found them to be sporadic layers. They lay for a while than quit for a few weeks to even a few months. How old are they? First year layers have the best production with early spring being when you get the most eggs.

I was not impressed with the Ameraucanas here, and have been much happier with Easter Eggers. I had the same experience as the other posters. I'll stick with the EEs.
Right now my EEs are all molting, and no green eggs for at least six weeks. Ugh!
I'm VERY happy with the bantam EEs from Cackle. Cute, busy, and beautiful aqua blue eggs!!! Mary

I think that Old English Game bantams were used to develop these bantam EEs. The cock weighs 3.1 lbs, and he's solid. I'm working on a small group, right now a total of two males and six females. Hopefully more next year. Mary
