ok if you can get $1 an egg for ee $3 an egg for a ameraucana and $6 an egg for auracana and noone can tell the difference between the eggs or even chicks which would you be selling if there was no come back no penalty, the only way toget back at them is to sue them in small claims court and I don't doubt it could be done, and report them to bbb and advertising on byc that those hatcheries are falsely advertising their birds. the only way to fix it is get them where it hurts the pocket.

OK so someone doesnt jump on me later.......IM NEW!! What kind do I have??? Was told they were Americaunas. Just courious, It doesnt matter either way I love the colors of there eggs! They have tuffs and tails.

Some people go for overkill and love slamming people with their "I know more than you" attitudes. If it makes them feel good to bring others down, nothing much you can do about it. There are countless occasions every day when I could correct someone loudly/rudely but being the nice girl I am I usually smile and nod, and if it is truly unavoidable, I will politely let someone know when they may be mistaken...but I guess I am rare in my respect given... : (

A gentle correction, your birds don't have tufts - they have muffs and beards (even though they are small). Tufts are what Araucanas have - they are actual, real, full size feathers sticking from the side of the birds head - not fuzzy down looking things emerging from the face.

What color eggs do they lay, if they do? Anything but blue is an EE.

They look to be blue Ameraucanas, going on leg and plumage color. One thing, though: they have muffs, not tufts. Araucanas have tufts, which are in the same area of the face, but completely different.

Thanks guys, No they are only 4 months (still babies)old right now so no eggies yet but can't wait. Like I said I'm new so now I know they are MUFFS not TUFTS. Got to get used to all this.

So still is the Question are they EE'S or Ameracaunas?

I cant actually see the face well enough to see if they have muffs or tufts or a beard for that matter, they do look like nice birds though.if you go to the breed pages of byc you can see pictures of the different birds and compare your girls to them, and read what they say about each breed and remember those breed pages were written by members the facts in them may or may not be correct. history changes depending on who you talk to.
