If you bred a Buff goose with an Embden goose what color would you get? How did Blues and Lavenders come up?

hi every one I just ordered 2 American buff geese from mezta farm , I have two full grown American blues already. I tried to hatch some of there eggs no luck so I decided to buy babies. now will these geese when they are older get along together? So far my blues hate my ducks. But I notice when I walk past there pen with my now 5 week old duck they were real interested not in a nasty way but a parent way. is that strange. will they try and adopt the new babies. oh I also ordered 2 duclair ducks for my baby both female since he is a he. the other ducks don .t want any part of him. all he wants is me.Thanks

Once you get those goslings start taking them out to meet your adults, they will fall head over heels in love then all you need to do is decide when they can have them, I waited till mine were 3 weeks old before mine got the goslings but you'll be able to tell when is the best time by watching the female especially she will need to let the goslings snuggle up to her for warmth. Your duckling will be very happy to have a couple girls for friends. We'll need pics of everyone too.

Thanks MissLydia I can't wait I should get them Wednesday. I hope my little one will like them he really needs to think hes a duck.HA. He is the one I tried to help him hatch he is a fighter.

What a cutie~ Very exciting week coming up. Of course you know your going to have to introduce the new ducklings carefully and slowly to your duck'ling who looks pretty big,and may not take kindly to having his territory interrupted by 2 new comers. .
The geese will take to the goslings much easier. I was selfish when I kept my goslings from the geese for 3 weeks but my female was still sitting on a nest when we brought them home [she had lost her only gosling when it started hatching] so I had to wait a week for her to come off the nest, then another week for her to really begin to take and interest in the goslings the gander just followed her cue, so I was feeling very protective and waited another week to make sure everyone really had bonded good. I could have given them to the adults by end of week 2 actually. Hard to give them lil darlings up. haha they are far from lil darlings now.

Well here they are they came Wednesday I was still in my little town when the post office called. worked out well. They are so cute, the goslings do what the older geese do walk with there necks out stretch peeping so funny. I thought when they are a week old I will take them out when the ducks are up and see the reactions of the older geese. Will they care for them I am afraid she will only half do it . also will she trample them trying to protect them. all these thing are going through my mind. what about the weather we get these bad storms. If they where more experience I would not worry so much.

Well here there mug shots.
