What do you use to worm with?
I use Safe Guard and Valbazen. switching to keep the parasites form getting use to one particular one. If you only have a few to worm then I recc the Safe Guard paste it's more expensive to use if you have alot of poultry but just for a couple geese it's cheaper for me and very easy to give.

Ok. I use safe guard, wazine and ivermectin pour on for my peafowl. Do I need to worm the goslings or just wait until december?

OK my goose has been laying now maybe a month she was laying every other day. I thought she was starting to go broody but false alarm. is it possible she won't this is her first time. I took a few eggs just in case and put them in a incubator they might not be fertile. They are very protective of there nest which is a jumbo dog house. If I have to wait till next year that's ok. Thanks.

Wait till Dec. safe guard will kill round worms so you really don't need the wazine and ivermectin doesn't really do much either . Safe guard and valbazen are the best wormers out there now.

Here is some really good info on worming https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...g-and-wormer-misinformations-graphic-pictures
That was a interesting thread. I didn't know that ivermectin isn't effective and I have been using it for 2 years, and it isn't cheap. When I first got my peafowl thats what i learned I should do (through this site). But its very informative. So I guess I need to pick up valbazen next time i go out and just rotate them. Thank you so much for all your help. My goslings should be here in the morning...I am very excited.

I'm very excited for you please post pics when they arrive.
I use to use Epernix pour on which is basically the same still use it if I see mites on the chickens. But when my rooster got gape worms and I read on line to use Ivermectin and he died, because it isn't effective in killing gape worms I was heart sick that is when I got involved in this informative site. Sometimes we learn the hard way seems for me that is always the case.

My American Buffs have been very prolific this year! Between 2 girls there are 19 eggs. 15 are out and dry or mostly dry. 2 More have started hatching and there are 2 more eggs! This is better than Christmas morning! My gander has good fertility. Metzer Farms website says fertility is 65%. All the eggs we cooked or used for baking were all fertile and now the fertility rate is about 90% and I dont know about the last 2 eggs yet either.
