Introduced Wild Bar-headed geese are very uncommon in the U.S. So if the breeder isn't keeping them it would be unlikely that such a meeting would happen. You also have to wonder if a bar-headed gander would mate with a goose that is 3 or 4 times his weight. The breeder should be able to answer definitely for you if there is any question. Canada Ganders are well known to be loyal to their mate so he would have stuck around and been observed by the breeder.

She is beautiful so happy to hear she is now a goose. When my gander hatched here by a Muscovy he was only in the presence of Muscovy's for over 5 yrs when I brought in a female he absolutely did not want anything to do with her. It took about 5 months before he finally realized he wasn't an over grown Muscovy and was a goose. Now he is a happy gander with his own family. They are amazing aren't they.

She truly is happier now. A goose is happier being a goose than a human... The duck that came with her however is having a harder time figuring things out. He cannot seem to figure out he doesn't belong with the geese, and gets very confused when they chase after him.

Aww poor baby I hope it gets better for him soon. or maybe some counseling will help.
